Kara discovered her love for yoga in the summer of 2012 when she purchased multiple Groupons for various yoga studios in Chicago. Having a curious mind, she wanted to try out a new hobby and work out a routine. Being an event planner and “always on the go”, yoga let her mind take a break and focus on being present. By connecting breath to movement, she was able to let her to-do list go for one hour at a time and challenge herself mentally and physically. Realizing her passion for yoga was more than a hobby led Kara to attend Bare Feet Power Yoga’s 200 Hour Teacher Training in the Spring of 2019. She hasn’t looked back and has continued to explore and grow her love and faith in yoga by attending workshops, training, teaching, and applying it all to her life off the mat.

Kara teaches to all levels of yoga and enjoys helping students relieve their anxiety and connect with their physical bodies through a vinyasa-based practice. She encourages students to challenge themselves mentally and physically on the mat as well as discovering their self-compassion and self-confidence. Kara’s warm personality creates a welcoming and inclusive space for all yogis to begin or continue their search within and around themselves.
