Massage Therapy

Massage commonly known as Swedish and/or Deep Tissue and is intended for relaxation or pain relief.  It consists of a system of gliding strokes, kneading, friction, and percussion techniques, combined with active and passive movements of the joints. Based on your input, the therapist may work superficially or deeper into the muscles, tendons, and fascia of the body to work out adhesions, triggerpoints, scarring, and to promote positive structural change or relaxation.

Types of Massages Offered

SWEDISH MASSAGE

Swedish massage therapy is the most common modality that most people think about. As one of the best known type of bodywork performed, the primary goal of Swedish massage is to help relax the entire body. Your therapist will accomplish this by massaging the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. Although, Swedish massage goes beyond just relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial to your well-being by increasing the levels of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving the body’s circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

A Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage, but deeper pressure is helpful in releasing chronic muscle tension. The therapist will focus on the deeper layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia.

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports massage is geared toward athletes, from sports professionals to joggers. Sports massage technique are specific to the each athlete’s sport of choice. The therapist focuses on the areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements

HOT STONE MASSAGE

Hot Stone Massage is a great add-on to any form of massage therapy that follows the same ideas of Swedish Massage or Deep Tissue Massage. The hot stones help lead to deep relaxation. By adding heat to specific areas on the body the heat helps soften muscles, tendons, and joints.

PRENATAL MASSAGE

Prenatal Massage is a great way to help focus on the special needs of the mother-to-be. The therapist will Position the pillow and/or cushion to help enhance support and decrease pressure. This helps increase relaxation for both body and mind. Both the Mother and baby share the benefits as tension and stress decrease, this will help leave you feeling balanced and energized. Stress relief of the feet, ankles, lower back and neck, as well as reducing swelling, are all benefits of a Prenatal Massage.ain through isolated pressure and release.

COUPLES MASSAGE

Couples massage is for you, with a friend or loved one. The couple can enjoy their massage experience together, side by side in our couple’s room. A perfect way to enjoy some quality time together. The room is ideally for special occasions, such as Anniversaries, Birthdays, and Valentine’s Day.

STRETCH AND RESTORE

Stretch & Restore is a full body assisted stretching routine targeting the major muscle groups of the body.

Stretching helps to lengthen muscles to release tension, promotes flexibility, supports muscle strength, and has a soothing effect on the nervous system. Assisted stretching simply means we do the work for you, while you reap the gains.

Stretch & Restore is perfect for athletic types or for anyone who feels regularly stiff and tight.

30 min sessions ideal for generalized muscle tension relief and pairs well with a 60 min massage. 60 min session ideal for more focused tension relief on problems areas.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY

A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. Trigger Point Therapy is specifically designed to ease the source of the pain through isolated pressure and release.
